Artist’s Statement
The materiality of my sculptures and installations has a strong symbolic character, and thus it tells stories which assume an immaterial character. Therefore abstraction plays a major role. This abstraction is broken by text and title, which suggest a way to the respective story of the objects. It is not my intention to exercise criticism. It is rather to evoke thoughts and feelings of any sort. The works were made on the basis of my reality, but are only really intended for someone else’s. It is about objects which grow to installations, objects which dissolve in sculptures. The result is controlled improviation and combination of a series of coincidences that get translated and transferred.
