In his work, Lukas Hochrieder combines his interest in fluidity and in transformation, with a focus on space and its enabling potential. The reductive aspects, the possibilities granted by materials, as well as the process which is inscribed in creation are the main components in the working process. He often regards urban space with its different surfaces, space-generating objects, material accumulations, expediencies, constellations, rhythms and merging atmospheres as a starting point for his artistic work.
