Lisa Großkopf

With a formal background in graphic design and photography, Lisa Großkopf prefers materials and media such as artists’ books, installations and photographs. Her projects tackle the social uses of photography, particularities of human behavior in the digital world, interactions and features of public and private space, as well as issues from the realm of sex/gender/heteronormativity.
One of the things she loves about her studio is its large display window! She will incorporate and transform this detail for her upcoming project that aims to address gender scripts and practices in visual media such as studio photography.

Artist’s tip
If you are a photography enthusiast, don’t miss the exhibition “Belegkontrolle” (Peter Piller) at the Kunst Haus Wien. Presented in cooperation with Fotomuseum Winterthur, Städtische Galerie Nordhorn and Kunsthalle Nürnberg, it reflects on the potential of raw visual material and the omnipresence but ever-shifting nature of meaning-making imagery. Only four days left to visit it!
