a cooperation with HIAP –Helsinki International Artist Programme for two curators/theorists based in Vienna and Helsinki. The focus of this initiative was upon bringing together two professionals who focus on similar issues in their curatorial practice, and are eager to develop a collaborative project. Whereas Alexander Fleischmann visited Helsinki in August 2016, Andrew Gryf Paterson was hosted by studio das weisse haus in November 2016.
Alexander Fleischmann, researcher at the Institute for Gender and Diversity in Organizations, WU Vienna University of Economics and Business, was calling for a project partner based in Helsinki, who shares his interest in alternative forms of organizing and diversity/anti-discrimination. Andrew Paterson, cultural producer and independent researcher, responded to his call. Together, they worked on emancipatory strategies and practices, in order to challenge capitalist markets. At the end of each residency the outcome of this collaboration was presented in the respective city.
