Residency Period

Robin Waart is based in Amsterdam. His work begins with the words of others. He uses repetition and collecting as a framework for projects and installations with books, movie stills, photography and book pages to look at questions of (dis)continuity, why, and for whom, we make what we make, and what it means to do the same thing over and over.

During his residency at studio das weisse haus he will work on his project ‘Footnotes and Fussleisten’ – about what might connect the specific small text at the bottom of a page, looking down at art and the Fussleisten or skirting board (baseboard American English) that frame a room, an exhibition space, and specifically in Rudolf Schindler’s architecture.
