She earned her MFA degree from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Polytechnic University of Valencia, where she is currently enrolled in the Doctoral Programme in Artistic Practice and Research. Silvia’s artistic interest lies in the analysis of modern phallocentric power structures, symbols and vestiges. In her current artistic research and practice, Silvia investigates about the urban memory of western metropolises from a critical feminist perspective. Silvia’s imagery draws upon her vision of the urban space as a political arena, where the struggle for power and control is embodied in architecture, especially in the commemorative monuments representing a biased reading of history.
