In her work Jackie Grassmann questions genealogies of subjectification, methodologies of research, construction of images and language. Based on her auto-fictional writing practice(s), she creates imagery in which her texts find an aesthetic representation and abstraction. Jackie Grassmann studied in South Germany, Berlin and Tel Aviv and is currently enrolled in the Critical Studies (MA) program at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna as well as in the class for new media art.

Jackie shares her studio with Inga Charlotte Thiele. Next to their own distinct way of working, it is important to them to be in a constant exchange, experiment with forms of collaboration and think of their artistic practice(s) as social gestures.
